Looking for where to watch anime, track what you've seen, or find anime games? This independent guide covers the legal side of anime streaming, databases, and apps — and explains why the "free streaming" sites and APKs all over search results aren't worth the risk.

Legal streaming services

• Crunchyroll — the largest dedicated anime streaming library, subbed and dubbed, free tier with ads plus premium.
• Netflix — growing anime catalog including exclusives and films.
• HIDIVE — niche titles and simulcasts other services skip.
• Animax Asia — Sony's anime channel for Asia, with streaming options by region.
• Muse Asia (YouTube) — free legal uploads of many series in South/Southeast Asia.

Databases and tracking (all legal)

• MyAnimeList — the biggest anime/manga database with tracking lists, scores, and seasonal charts.
• AniDB — long-running detailed anime database.

Anime games

• Bleach: Brave Souls — KLab's official 3D action game, free on mobile and PC.

Why not the "free" sites and APKs?

Sites offering every anime free with no subscription are unlicensed — and the APKs (AniLab-style "anime APKs") are worse: unofficial Android packages are a top malware vector, harvesting data or showing aggressive adware. They also vanish constantly, taking your watchlists with them. If a site or app isn't on the lists above or your region's official stores, treat it as untrustworthy.
